Our community has a continuous commitment to "Green Living", an ethical and modern way to raise awareness about our living comfort and social welfare. Here we engage in a strong debate about all alternative forms of energy to help us support a post fossil-fuel type of economy. We share news, trends and views, case studies and raw knowledge with focus on solar energy, wind power, wave energy, geothermal and other renewable energy resources. Our goal is to educate our readers for a low carbon energy based life style.

Our tools are mainly visual and audio with a reach informational content targeting the main categories we are looking to deal with: "Green Living Concept", "Active Solar Buildings", "Green Remodeling", "Eco Urban Moovers" . For a better understanding we would like to define each of the categories being part of our community pages: 

"Green Living Concept": is a lifestyle that attempts to reduce an individual's or society's use of the Earth's natural resource and his/her own resources. it is an attempt to reduce carbon footprint by altering methods of transportation, energy consumption and diet. Proponents of sustainable living aim to conduct their lives in manners that are consistent with sustainability, in natural balance and respectful of humanity's symbiotic relationship with the Earth's natural ecology and cycles. The practice and general philosophy of ecological living concept 0r green living concept is highly interrelated with the overall principles of sustainable development.

"Active Solar Buildings": Active solar technologies are employed to convert solar energy into usable light (electricity), heat, cause air-movement for ventilation or cooling, or store heat and electriciyt for future use. Active solar uses electrical and mechanical equipment, such as pumps and fans, to increase the sustainabilioty of any building systems. Solar energy collection and utilization using active solar buildings systems can be look at as self sustainable form of energy generation and that in financial terms translates into zero mettering or feed in tarif benefits. 

"Green Remodeling": Green remodeling is a form of passive solar building design. In passive solar building design  windows, walls, and floors are made to collect, store, and distribute solar energy in the form of heat in the winter (Passive Solar Heating) and reject solar heat in the summer (Passive Solar Cooling). This is called "passive" solar design (or climatic design) because, unlike "active" ( solar heating, photovoltaic, etc.) solar systems, passive solar systems do not involve the use of mechanical or electrical devices, fans, pumps, etc. The goal to designing a cost-effective passive solar building is to best take advantage of the local climate. Elements to be considered include window placement, orientation, size and glazing type, thermal insulation, thermal mass, and shading on warm days. 

"Eco Urban Moovers": integrates transportation functionality and ecological sustainability. An environmental approach is used through out the planning, design, and the construction. The result is a people mover that will benefit transportation, the ecosystem, urban growth, public health and surrounding communities.
