Using LED Light Bulbs it will save up to 30% from the energy bills in most of the house holds. Shopping for such type of lights comes with additional requirements.

What we have to know about LED lights:

• Rugged durability – LED lights have no fragile filament to contend with, and no fragile tube. 

• Lumens per watt – Today's available LED’s are the same as compact florescent bulbs, they average around 55 lumen per watt. Incandescent bulbs are rated at about 15 lumen per watt. (Lumen per watt is the light quantity generated in rapport to each watt of electricity consumption).

• Installation of LED Bulbs respective LED based lighting is compatible with most of the systems. Some models screw in having an Edison E26/27 terminal type and very easy they will replace incandescent bulbs in most of the appliances. Others are designed to replace halogen bulbs.  

• The operational life of current white LED bulbs is anywhere between 30,000 up to 100,000 hours. This represents up to 11 years of continuous operation, or 22 years at 50% operational time. This in turn is a great return on investment and offsets all the initial costs.
