This model it is optimized for starting AC generators. This Genset starter monitors the battery voltage, and when the battery voltage gets too its low set point, the unit starts the generator. When the battery gets to its high set point, the unit stops the generator. The generator may be remotely started and stopped by dry contact closures, or by its local toggle switch start stop commands. The set points may be temperature compensated with an optional remote temperature sensor. Available in Model (GS-1AC) optimized for starting AC generators or Model (GS-1DC) for DC generators. This product is available in an enclosure or open frame design for mount in your own enclosure.

Autostart generators are capable of remote start, meaning that these units can be started by an external signal, such as one that might come from an inverter when it detects a set battery voltage level. The control over the generator’s operation—that is, when to run and when to stop—is external to the generator, while the generator provides its own safety protection, such as shutoff for low oil level, overheating, and other factors. Among remote-start generators, the simplest is the “two wire start,” in which a closed contact tells the generator to start and run. When the contacts open, the generator stops. All inverters with generator-start capability can control the generator in this method, as can other system components such as a manual switch, a voltage-controlled relay, a threshold signal in some system monitors, and even a signal triggered by a big load. Automatic generator operation is at best a mixed blessing. In theory, the inverter calls for the generator to provide backup charging power whenever the RE source proves insufficient. However, numerous real-world bugs can interfere with such seamless operation. Automatic operation can lead to a system owner failing to perform regular maintenance, and neglecting something as simple as checking oil levels can cause unintended problems that aren’t noticed until the entire system shuts down. Poor programming can lead to excessive runtime and fuel consumption, yet not guarantee that batteries are adequately charged. The most likely path to eventual failure is total dependence on a generator in an unattended system. “Auto-generator start systems built into all of the inverter systems should be viewed as a convenience device,” not as a comprehensive, ‘bullet-proof system’ which will operate 100% of the time.” Longtime installer are more blunt: “I never configure auto start generators. Having a machine automatically start/stop while unattended is at best a recipe for damage to gear and, at worst, a fire that could destroy the entire homestead.”

Most of unused products can be returned back to us for a replacement or refund within 30 days of receipt. All returned items must be in new condition with all original packaging, paperwork and accessories supplied. All returns have to be send back via a traceable method such as Fed Ex, DHL, Purolator and USPS or similar. Return freight and original shipping are non-refundable.
All special orders, electrical appliances, appliances of any nature, items returned without original packaging or packing materials, and items sent directly from the manufacturer may be subject to a restocking fee of 10-25%. Please call us before you perform your return in order for us to issue an RMA prior any shipping is undergoing.
Please include your order number along with RMA issued by one of our
staff. Without an order number and an RMA number, it will be very difficult to
trace the order for the returned merchandise associated with and all the process
will drag for weeks or month to come. In order to complete the return procedures
please fill in the forms and follow our instructions.

- Your Return Package
All returns must be in their ORIGINAL PACKAGING, in a resalable condition. Any packaging materials, CDs, software, accessories, manuals, warranty cards and documentation originally sent must be included in the package. In the event that a package is returned and does not meet the guidelines we’ve listed above, CleanEnergyBrands reserves the right not to honour the return.

Because we want your return experience to be as hassle-free as possible, we strongly recommend that you fully insure your return shipment so that you’re well protected in the event that the package is lost or damaged in transit. UPS & FedEx provide traceable shipments, complete with a proof-of-delivery feature that guarantees that your package is delivered to the intended location. We urge you to use a carrier that has both tracking and proof-of-delivery capabilities and that you retain that tracking number. Please be advised that postage charges are non-refundable, and that CleanEnergyBrands is not responsible for any packages lost or damaged during transit. This includes packages sent via USPS to an international or overseas destination.
Defective Product; Incorrect Product
Please call for an RMA so we will arrange for a return for the defective/incorrect item and replace it at no cost to you. The item must include its original packaging and be in as-new condition with the packing slip, all warranty cards, and accessories (if applicable).
